Mattupetti is 15 kms away from Munnar and is famous for its dairy farm. Here more than 100 varieties of high-yielding farm animals are reared. The place also boasts a beautiful rose garden. Mattupetty Dam : The Mattupetty Dam is located at about 13 kilometers from Munnar and is a concrete gravity dam built for storage of water. It is also one of the waterholes which is visited by elephants often for a drink. Mattupetty Dairy farm : The name Mattupetty means ‘Cow Village’. Mattupetty is famous for its Indo-Swiss dairy farming. The farm is situated amidst grasslands and meadows making it an attraction for tourists.
Kundala Lake : Among the best locations for photoshoot in Munnar, the Kundala Lake is an artificial reservoir. This lake gives the facility for tourists to hire pedal boats, Shikara and row boats.
