About Chimmony Wildlife Sanctuary
Established in 1984, it is a protected area and a haven for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts located in the Western Ghats of Kerala, India. The area was historically home to the tribal Kallichitra settlement, which was relocated when the Chimmony reservoir was filled after the construction of the Chimmony Dam.
