Places to visit

Kovalam beach: The Kovalam beach located at a distance of 13 kilometer from Trivandrum is a beautiful place on the shores of the Arabian Sea with its gentle breeze which feels like it is taking you to the clouds.

Ponmudi: Ponmudi means the ‘Golden Crown’ which is located on the Aravalli Ranges and runs parallel to the Arabian Sea is at a distance of 56 kilometers from Trivandrum.

Thenmala Dam: Situated at a distance of 73 kilometers from Trivandrum is located amidst a forest and is famed for its honey which has medicinal property in them.

Shanghumugham Beach: The Shanghumugham beach located at about 10 kilometers from Trivandrum is famed for its sunset and the statue of the beautiful Nymph, Jalakanyaka. During the temple festivals you can witness the idols being washed in the waters of the sea.

Neyyar Dam & Wildlife Sanctuary: At the foot of the Western Ghats lies the Neyyar Dam which has a unique variety of flora and fauna found there. You can even rent boats out on the water and catch sights of the animals that come for a drink at the river.

Padmanabhaswamy Temple: The Padmanabhaswamy Temple situated in the heart of Trivandrum is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one among his 108 abodes. The temple is famed for its beautifully carved murals.

Poovar Island: Situated near Trivandrum lies the village of Poovar which once served as a trading center. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city life, this village provides a scenic location to spend an entire day.

Napier Museum: located in Trivandrum, the Napier Museum offers its visitors a rare collection of antiques, bronze articles and ivory carvings. This museum is also much famed for the Zoological and Biological gardens.
