Tamil Nadu, the land of Tamil, is the southernmost State in India. The official language of this State is Tamil which is one among the world’s longest surviving classical languages.

The State is rich in its history, culture and traditions. The people of Tamil Nadu also continue to preserve their culture and heritage and pass it on to their descendants through the form of music, dance, drama, literature and cuisine. The land was ruled and flourished under the reign of the three greatest Tamil Dynasties, the Pandyas, The Cholas and the Cheras.

Sandwiched between the Bay of Bengal and the Eastern Ghats Tamil Nadu experiences rainfall during the monsoon season. The State has a variety of flora and fauna and houses many large mammals like tigers, leopards, elephants and bears.
