Cities of Rajasthan (10 Days & 9 Nights)

A huge state in India’s north-west, Rajasthan has a long and colourful history and a vibrant modern culture. Vast deserts which stretch to the horizon, glorious forts and palaces- many still occupied by the descendants of their founders-, brightly turbaned camel herders- these are iconic images of this fascinating state.

Jaipur > Bikaner > Jaisalmer > Jodhpur > Udaipur

Arrive at jaipur

Day 1 : Arrive at jaipur - We shall meet and assist you on arrival at airport/ railway station and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 : Jaipur - Morning excursion to Amber Fort make your ascent to the palace fortress on the gaily-caparisoned elephant back (optional). Afternoon tour of Jaipur known as "The Pink City of Rajasthan" visit the unique Jantar Mantar observatory, which was built in 1700's, yet even today still looks futuristic or almost surrealistic: The City Palace & its museum, the Hawa Mahal or the palace of winds. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 : Jaipur - Bikaner - After breakfast drive to bikaner. On arrival in bikaner - a sightseeing of the city is conducted. Visit the Junagarh fort constructed between 1588 & 1599 by Raja Jai Singh, a general in the moghul emperor akbar's army. Also visit Lalgarh Palace Museum & Camel Breeding Farm. Late check in at hotel and overnight stay.

Day 4 : Bikaner - Jaisalmer Via Deshnok - After breakfast drive towards Jaisalmer. Enroute visiting Deshnok karni Mata temple & pokhran. On arrival at Jaisalmer check in at Hotel. Late afternoon drive to "Sam" for a lifetime sunset sand dunes experience where camel ride can be organised at an extra cost. (optional) return to hotel late evening. Overnight at hotel.

Jaislamer

Day 5 : Jaislamer - Morning, sightseeing tour of Jaislamer. It is in the heart of great indian desert. Visit fort - built by Maharawal Jaisel in 1156 ad - one of the 2nd oldest in Rajasthan, jain temple of 12 century BC Gadsisar tank, folk museum, Patva-ki-haveli, Salim Singh Haveli and Diwan Nathmal ki Haveli, Badal Niwas Palace-return to hotel through narrow cobbled streets. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6 : Jaislamer - Jodhpur - Morning drive Jaisalmer to Jodhpur enroute visiting Osian which has 16 jain and vaishnava temples dating back from 8th to 11th centuries presenting the grandeur of indian temple architecture. All the sixteen temples are within the outer limit of the village. Continue your drive & check in at hotel for overnight stay.

Day 7 : Jodhpur - Breakfast at hotel leave for morning sightseeing tour of Jodhpur. Visit the Mehrangarh fort. Inside the Fort are a number of palaces added by successive ruler and the canon rampart. Late afternoon excursion to a Bishnoi village to witness black bucks freely roam in herds in the countryside also see thatched huts and houses. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8 : Jodhpur – Udaipur - Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast morning drive from Jodhpur to Udaipur en-route visiting Ranakpur. Visit the famous Jain temples, dating back to the 15th century. Includes visit to two more Jain temples and the temple of the sun god with its erotic sculptures. Continue your drive to "lake city" upon arrival check into the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 9 : Udaipur - Breakfast at hotel full day sightseeing tour of Udaipur. This is possibly the most romantic city in Rajasthan and hence referred as "the Venice of East". Morning excursion to famous temples of Eklingji & Nagda. Afternoon half day city tour visiting city palace museum, jagdish temple and Saheliyon ki Bari. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10 : Udaipur/Departure - Breakfast at hotel. In time transfer from hotel to the airport / railway station to catch flight / train for onwards destination.
