The Lokanarkavu Bhagavathy Temple/Lokanarkavu Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Durga. It is situated in Vadakara in the Kozhikode District of the North Malabar region in the southern state of Kerala. The name Lokanarkavu is derived from the words Lokam (world), Mala (mountain), Aaru (river), and Kavu (grove), symbolizing the world as a combination of these elements.

The Pooram Festival is the highlight here, celebrated with grandeur and fervour. The week-long festivities commence with Kodiyettam (flag hoisting) and conclude with Arattu. Unique to this temple is the presentation of a folk dance called 'Poorakkali' or 'Thacholikali' during festivals, closely resembling the martial art form Kalarippayattu. Even today, all Kalaripayattu artists seek the blessings of the deity before their debut, honouring Lokanarkavu Temple's association with the legendary hero Thacholi Othenan.
