Shivanasamudra Falls Karnataka

The Karnataka district of Mandya is home to Shivasamudram Falls. The Cauvery River split into two streams, creating the two main waterfalls, Gaganachukki and Bharachukki.These two cascades present a striking and unusual image and the biggest and most potent of the two falls is Gaganachukki on the western branch.A captivating visual spectacle is produced by the huge, horsetail-shaped cascade that thunders down the rocky ground. Surrounded by luxuriant foliage, the eastern branch of Bharachukki has a series of lesser cascades.
