Drive 3.5hours to reach Tiruvannamalai, most famous for its connection to the holy mountain Arunachala and which is considered a manifestation of Lord Shiva. The highlights of Tiruvannamalai is the  Arunachaleshwarar temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, is one of the Pancha Bhoota Stalams, representing the element of fire. Renowned for its annual festival during the full moon in the Tamil month of Karthigai (November-December), when devotees perform a circumambulation (Girivalam) around the sacred mountain. Drive 5hrs towards Tanjore, often referred to as the "Rice Bowl of Tamil Nadu”. Here witness the major attractions Brihadeeswarar Temple (Big Temple) recognized as  UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by the Chola king Raja Raja Chola I in the 11th century. It is one of the greatest achievements of Chola architecture. It features a massive central dome and intricate carvings. And it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Tanjore Palace known as the Thanjavur Maratha Palace, was the residence of the Maratha rulers who succeeded the Cholas. It showcases a blend of Maratha and Dravidian architectural styles. Palace houses a museum that displays artifacts related to the Chola and Maratha periods, including sculptures, paintings, and weaponry. Tanjore paintings are a traditional form of South Indian art that originated in Tanjore. Here the major attractions are Rock Fort temple, Jambukeshwarar temple which is one of the five elements of nature representing Water and Srirangam temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, renowned for its impressive Dravidian architecture, intricate carvings, and sprawling temple complex.
