Detailed Itinerary
On arrival at Cochin International Airport, our representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to Fort Kochi. Fort Kochi is a charming historic town with a unique blend of cultures and traditions. You will love its beautiful colonial buildings, art galleries, little cafés and relaxed atmosphere. On arrival, check in to your heritage-style hotel and take some time to relax after your journey. In the evening, if you wish, you can enjoy a traditional Kathakali dance performance, one of Kerala's most fascinating cultural experiences. Overnight stay at your hotel in Fort Kochi.
After breakfast, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Fort Kochi and explore its rich history and cultural heritage. Visit the famous Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Town and Princess Street. Each place has its own story to tell and offers a glimpse into the fascinating past of this coastal town. Enjoy lunch during your sightseeing tour and later spend some relaxing time at Fort Kochi Beach, where you can watch the beautiful sunset. In the evening, you can enjoy a delicious seafood dinner at your hotel or at one of the local restaurants. After breakfast, leave for Munnar, one of the most beautiful hill stations in South India. As you get closer to Munnar, the landscape gradually changes into misty hills, beautiful waterfalls and endless stretches of tea plantations. En route, you can stop at Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls to enjoy the natural beauty and take some lovely photographs. Munnar is famous for its cool climate, breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings. It is the perfect place to slow down and enjoy nature. You can enjoy a refreshing walk through the tea plantations or, if you love adventure, opt for a trek in the beautiful Lakshmi Hills. Other attractions you may visit include Eravikulam National Park, the Tea Museum, Kundala Dam and Mattupetty Dam. After breakfast, drive to Kumarakom, a beautiful backwater village in the Kottayam district of Kerala. Known for its peaceful waterways, coconut groves, traditional houseboats and beautiful village surroundings, Kumarakom offers a completely different experience from the hills of Munnar. On arrival, check in to your backwater resort and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Relax by the lake, enjoy the beautiful views or simply spend some quiet time surrounded by nature. Today is all about relaxing and enjoying the peaceful beauty of Kumarakom. You can spend the day at your resort, enjoying the backwater views and the lovely natural surroundings. If you feel like exploring, there are a few interesting activities you can choose from. Visit Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, enjoy a relaxing Ayurvedic massage or take a village walk to experience the everyday life of the local people. It is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, connect with nature and enjoy the simple pleasures of Kerala. Overnight stay at your backwater resort in Kumarakom.
After breakfast, drive to Alleppey, which is approximately one hour from Kumarakom. At 13:00 hrs, board your deluxe day-cruise houseboat and get ready for a memorable experience on the famous Kerala backwaters.
As the houseboat gently cruises along the waterways, you will pass beautiful villages, green paddy fields, churches, temples and traditional Kerala homes. You can sit back, enjoy the scenery and watch the peaceful village life unfold along the banks. A freshly prepared traditional Kerala lunch will be served on board by the houseboat crew, giving you a chance to enjoy some of the local flavours. At around 17:00 hrs, disembark the houseboat in Alleppey, where our driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your resort in Kumarakom. Overnight stay at your backwater resort in Kumarakom.
Enjoy your breakfast. Depending on your flight schedule, our driver will pick you up from the resort and transfer you to Cochin International Airport for your onward journey home.
