Detailed Itineary

  • Day 1 : Arrive at Dibrugarh

    Upon arrival at Dibrugarh Airport, an Indian Panorama representative will greet you and transfer you to your accommodation in a delightful Chang Bungalow, which are charming colonial-style houses perched on stilts. You’ll have the rest of the day to either wander around, soak in the local vibe, or relax. In the evening, get ready to be entertained by a lively Bihu dance performance from a talented ethnic dance troupe.

  • Day 2 : Dibrugarh Sightseeing

    Today, immerse yourself in the Assam Tea Estate Experience. You’ll visit famous CTC and orthodox tea factories to see the fascinating tea-making process up close. Join a tea tasting session led by knowledgeable estate experts and take a stroll through the lush plantations that look like a green carpet stretching across the landscape.
    Note: The best time to visit tea factories is from March to November - Mondays are the weekly holidays for the tea factories.

  • Day 3 : Dibrugarh - Namphake - Maguri Beel - Dibrugarh

    Take a drive to Naharkatiya and visit Namphake Village, home to the Tai-Phake community and one of Assam’s oldest Buddhist monasteries. Explore the beautiful Thai-style vihars and ancient manuscripts. Later, head to Maguri Beel Wetland, a birdwatcher’s dream, where you can enjoy a peaceful boat ride along the Dibru River.

  • Day 4 : Dibrugarh - Pasighat (Arunachal Pradesh)

    After breakfast, set out for Pasighat, where you’ll encounter the Adi community, renowned for their vibrant cultural traditions and colourful attire. Travel across the impressive Bogibeel Bridge, which is India’s longest rail-cum-road bridge, into Pasighat, a lush town in Arunachal Pradesh. Check into your scenic river camp right by the Silang River. Visit an Adi tribal village, where you can experience their vibrant clothing and rich cultural traditions.

  • Day 5 : Pasighat - Damro - Pasighat

    Have an early breakfast and start your day excursion to Damro. Today, we’re traveling to Damro, the vibrant home of the Adi Padam tribe. Get ready for an exhilarating walk across Arunachal’s longest hanging bridge, stretching an impressive 1000 feet and crafted from bamboo and cane. Experience the warmth of the local villagers as you immerse yourself in their unique tribal lifestyle and environmentally conscious traditions.

  • Day 6 : Pasighat - Roing - Tinsukia(Assam)

    Our journey takes us to Roing, a charming tribal village of the Idu Mishmi people, nestled at the foot of the Himalayas. You’ll be captivated by the traditional wooden homes, the vibrant local attire, and the breath-taking mountain views. We’ll then cross the Dhola–Sadiya Bridge, the longest river bridge in India, as we make our way to Tinsukia.

  • Day 7 : Tinsukia - Wakro - Tinsukia

    After breakfast, we’ll drive to Wakro, a scenic destination just three hours away, with a stop at Emphang Village – home to the Khampti tribe, known for their Southeast Asian heritage and distinctive Lik-Tai script. Don’t miss the stunning Golden Pagoda at Chowkham and a visit to a nearby Buddhist Vihara that houses a reclining Buddha. In Wakro, you’ll meet the Mishmi tribe, nature worshippers celebrated for their colorful Reh Festival and rich customs.

  • Day 8 : Tinsukia - Sivasagar - Majuli

    After breakfast, your adventure continues to Sivasagar, the historic capital of the Ahom dynasty, famous for its temples, palaces, and heritage sites. From Nimati Ghat, we’ll hop on a country boat to Majuli Island, the largest river island in the world. You’ll enjoy a unique stay in a floating heritage hotel on the Brahmaputra River.

  • Day 9 : Majuli Island

    Dive into the vibrant culture of Majuli Island, the spiritual heart of Assam. Explore the fascinating Vaishnavite Satras (monasteries), like the Uttar Kamalabari Satra, and engage with monks who are masters of traditional Sattriya dance and art.
    You can also interact with the monks, who will explain the cultural transformations of Assam since ancient times. The scenic surroundings are ideal for a leisurely walk before you reach the ferry point at Kamalabari. From there, a country boat will take you back to Nimati Ghat, from where you can proceed to your place of stay.
    Take in the stunning scenery as you stroll around, then hop on a ferry back to your accommodation for the night.

  • Day 10 : Majuli - Kaziranga

    Post breakfast, catch a ferry to Neematighat and then drive to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Kaziranga Orchid Park, where you can marvel at over 500 species of orchids and enjoy traditional Assamese folk performances. Discover the vital importance of biodiversity conservation and the rich cultural tapestry of Assam’s tribal communities.

  • Day 11 : Explore Kaziranga National Park

    Start your day with an unforgettable elephant-back safari across the grasslands, where you might spot the iconic one-horned rhinoceroses. An early morning Elephant safari will give you an excellent view of the jungle from the back of the elephant.
    Set out on thrilling jeep safaris after breakfast and lunch, exploring different parts of the forest where you may spot elephants, one-horned rhinos, and a variety of other wild animals roaming freely in their natural surroundings. Wrap up the day with a cultural show and another visit to the Biodiversity Centre.
    Note: Kaziranga National Park is open to visitors from 1st November to 30th April each year.

  • Day 12 : Kaziranga - Tezpur - Guwahati

    Start early in the morning and drive towards Guwahati, which will take at least five hours to reach. Travel to Guwahati, stopping in Tezpur for a thrilling Brahmaputra River dolphin safari. Keep your eyes peeled for the endangered Gangetic dolphins while you unwind on a picturesque river island.
    The view of the Koliabhomara Bridge is incredible while riding on the boat. Koliabhomara Bridge connects the north and south banks of Assam. Continue your cruise to reach a small island. Stay there for some time with a few refreshments before returning to the land.
    Later, visit Sualkuchi, known as the "Manchester of Assam," where you can witness the art of Assam silk weaving. Arrive in Guwahati and check in.

  • Day 13 : Depart from Guwahati Airport

    Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple – one of the 51 Shakti Peethas – renowned for its mystical rituals and spiritual significance. After the tour, enjoy a comfortable transfer to Guwahati Airport for your onward travel.
