Day 01Madurai – Palani

Start your trip early in the morning from Madurai. you can reach Palani after a five-hours drive. Palani is one of the six abodes of Lord Muruga, and the temple is atop the hill. You need to climb 670 steps to reach the temple. The unique feature of the temple is that Lord Muruga is in the form of an ascetic boy with no ornaments except a loincloth.

The temple witnesses thousands of devotees all day, and during the festival days, the count crosses even lakhs. People surrender to Him for all their problems, and there is a strong belief that He will bestow the devotees with His benevolence.
