Day 1 : Arrive in Ahmedabad

Day 2 : Ahmedabad - Gondal
Start your day with a guided heritage walk through the charming alleys of Ahmedabad's old city. You'll visit stunning temples, mosques, and some architectural gems. After lunch, it's time to drive for a 250 km drive (about 4 hours) to Gondal.

Day 7 : Bhuj - Rann of Kutch
Begin your day by obtaining the mandatory permit required to visit the tribal villages and restricted border areas of the Rann of Kutch. As you leave Bhuj, the scenery gradually transforms into a semi-arid desert, dotted with thorny shrubs and occasionally crossed by camel and goat herders.
En route, visit several artisan villages that showcase the rich handicraft heritage of Kutch. Each village specializes in a distinctive traditional craft - such as intricate embroidery, leatherwork, wood carving, Rogan painting, fabric dyeing, and the unique lippan kaam (mud mirror work). You may also get a glimpse of age-old techniques, including traditional charcoal making and local sweet production.
By evening, arrive in Hodka village and check into Shaam-E-Sarhad Village Resort, a sustainable desert retreat offering comfortable deluxe tents and Bhungas - traditional circular mud huts equipped with modern amenities, including attached bathrooms. En route you will be able to visit a village where the last surviving practitioners of an ancient painting style known as Rogan will beguile you with the brilliance of this art form. On your way to Mandvi, visit Nirona to explore Rogan art, a 400-year-old painting technique uniquely practiced by one family in all of India. Once in Mandvi, explore the stunning Mandvi Palace and the nearby Rabari villages before settling into your cosy beachside tented camp. Take in the breath-taking sunset and enjoy some leisure time on India's longest private beach.

Day 9 : Mandvi - Dasada
Drive for a 320 km drive to Dasada, where you'll pass through colourful tribal communities and striking desert landscapes. After you arrive, unwind at Rann Riders Eco-Resort - crafted in local style using natural materials that reflect the spirit of Kutch.
In the afternoon, you can either embark on a village tour to meet local artisans or hop on a jeep safari to spot the Indian Wild Ass (Khur) and migratory birds in the Little Rann of Kutch, a fascinating salt desert ecosystem.
