The written history of Tamil dates back to more than 2000 years. The culture of the Tamil speaking people is very much distinct from the rest of the Indian subcontinent. Their dress codes, food, their methods of worship, everything reflects their ancient culture which is very much alive today in their architecture, poetry and music as well.
