In a little over a week this tour covers the famous Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra and Jaipur) and the wonderful sights of those cities as well as visiting the small town of Karauli and Rajasthan’s most famous National Park, Ranthambore. With luck you’ll see a tiger here! This is an ideal itinerary if you want to have a taste of Rajasthan with something a bit beyond the normal trail.

Upon arrival in Delhi, You’ll be met by our Indian Panorama representative and assisted with the transfer to your hotel. Based on your arrival flight schedule, you are free to explore the city on your own. Overnight in Delhi.

A full day sightseeing with a professional Guide to cover the highlights of Old and New Delhi. After breakfast, visit the main sights of Old Delhi - Visit the historic RED FORT (FROM OUTSIDE ONLY) – Shah Jehan’s elegant citadel in red sandstone. Very near the Fort is the JAMA MASJID (Mosque), India’s largest mosque built by Shah Jahan, An interesting Rickshaw ride through the famous bazaars of Chandini Chowk, which is adjacent to both the Fort and the Mosque. Also visit RAJ GHAT – the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi.

Afternoon: Sightseeing tour of New Delhi. Visit the QUTAB MINAR, a Tower of Victory which was built in the 12th century by Qutbuddin Aibak. Within its spacious courtyard stands the Iron Pillar, which dates back to the 4th century AD and bears a Sanskrit inscription in the Gupta style. It is one of the UNESCO monument. Humayun’s Tomb which is one of the well preserved Mughal monument. This tomb built based on the Persian architecture and some Indian style architecture can also be seen here. Also, visit INDIA GATE, the memorial of the First World War and the road that leads from there to RASHTRAPATHI BHAWAN – the residence of the President of India, which is flanked by the houses of Parliament and the Government Secretariat buildings. Delhi – Agra (Approx. 4hours)

Four hour morning drive to Agra - On arrival check into your hotel and refresh yourself and then proceed for the sightseeing along with your Guide. Visit Agra Fort which is also known as the “Lal –Qila”, “Fort Rouge” or “Qila –I-Akbari”. It is one of the highlights of the city of Agra. It is the 16th century Mughal Monument which is very near to the world famous Taj Mahal. It is an UNESCO World Heritage site. Later visit one of the seven wonders of the world Taj Mahal, built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, in the memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It is located on the banks of the river Yamuna. Your time at the Taj will not be rushed, allowing you to spend as much as you want, prior to the sunset closing time to absorb the atmosphere of this incredibly special place. Overnight in Agra.

Agra –Karauli

Depart Agra and drive 4 hours to the small town of Karauli where you can stay in a century - old palatial home with the descendants of the former rulers of this region. Karauli is a fascinating town which is little visited by tourists - local people love to stop and talk to visitors and you can easily spend half a day exploring the streets and lanes of the old city area. Overnight in Karauli.

Morning you can have Yoga for 45 minutes. Then after refreshment you can visit City Palace which is being slowly, painstakingly and lovingly restored to its former glory on Camel Cart. And also visit some of the many step - well in this historic town. There is also the option to visit the nearby Kali Devi wildlife sanctuary which has similar wildlife to the more famous Ranthambore National Park but is far less touristic and affords the opportunity to walk in the forest. Karauli - Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore):

Depart Karauli and drive 4 hours to Ranthambore, the last refuge of the Royal Bengal tiger in Rajasthan. Take a jeep safari into the Park in the afternoon in search of not only tigers but leopards, sloth bears, nilgai, crocodiles and many more. Overnight in Ranthambore.

Sawai Madhopur:

Safaris into Ranthambore National Park at dawn and dusk by private jeep. You’ll be accompanied by a well- trained naturalist who will spot wildlife and inform you about the park, its history and its animal inhabitants. Overnight in Ranthambore.

Sawai Madhopur-Jaipur

A final dawn safari into Ranthambore after breakfast, later in the morning drive to Jaipur, the Capital city of Rajasthan. Afternoon free to relax or take a trip into the Old City area of Jaipur to explore the markets and bazaars here which are a paradise for shoppers. Overnight in Jaipur.

Spend a full day exploring Jaipur, starting with a visit to AMBER FORT an UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Amer, just 11km from city. Don't miss the chance to experience journey on embellished elephants to reach the top of the palace, immersing yourself in the royal lifestyle of the Maharajas. Inside the Fort you have so many attractions and one of the important attractions is the Sheesh Mahal, known as the Mirror Palace, adorned with glittering mirror pieces imported from Belgium. Explore the City Palace, a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture, housing an art museum and still serving as a residence for the Royal family. Discover Jantar Mantar, an observatory built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the 18th century to observe astronomical positions. Conclude your day with a visit to Hawa Mahal, or the Palace of Winds, built in 1799 for royal ladies to observe regular activities and the festivals through its 953 windows as they were not permitted to come out and have to hide themselves from the strangers and the general public.
