Anshi National Park, which was founded in 1987 and is situated in the Uttara Kannada district, is an important area in the Western Ghats for wildlife protection and environmental preservation. It is also a part of India's natural heritage. It also a part of dandeli wildlife sanctuary and its covers about 500 sq kms of the natural reserve.
