Located in Udaipur, Lake Pichola is a manmade artificially formed fresh water Lake which was created in 1362 AD. The lakes around Udaipur was built primarily to meet the needs of the agricultural and irrigation purposes of the places around Udaipur. The Lake houses four islands on which are built palaces.
It is believed that anyone would who sees the Lake would fall in love with it. Such is the beauty of the Pichola Lake. Over the years the land surrounding the Lake has been developed and many other developments have been made. One of the oldest Lake in Udaipur, The Pichola Lake, is said to captivate anyone who comes across it. Going for a boat ride in the Lake, especially in the evening is sure to leave the riders spellbound with its beautifully lit waters gleaming with the illusion of the dusking sun.
