Arrival at Chennai — On Arrival at the Cochin International Airport, you will be met and assisted by our Indian Panorama Tour executive followed by a transfer to your hotel. Check into your hotel and relax.

Chennai — Morning- Post breakfast go for a full day Chennai sightseeing starting with the historic Fort St George and the Vivekananda House.
Afternoon: This is your first chance to sample a traditional Tamilnadu meal, we call “Thali meal”. The meal consists of a large selection of gravies, spices and chutneys served with mountains of boiled rice and an array of breads and rice-flour concoctions. Enjoy the fabulous food and interact with locals.

Chennai- Kanchipuram- Mahabalipuram — Morning- Post breakfast drive to Kanchipuram, the city of 1000 temples, famous for its silk. Explore the temples and the silk weaving units of Kanchipuram.
Afternoon- Drive to Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO heritage site famous for its Pallava style rock- cut temples by the Bay of Bengal sea side. There are numerous sea food joints where you have options to select the fish you like, and the chef will cook the same rite in front of you.
Overnight in Mahabalipuram.
Mahabalipuram — Morning- Post breakfast, visit the cultural village at Dakshinachitra and later enjoy a sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage listed monuments which are the highlights of this once popular trading port and dynastic capital.

Mahabalipuram- Pondicherry — Morning-Post breakfast, drive to Pondicherry, a former French colony in Tamilnadu. Though the French left India nearly a century ago, the culture of Pondicherry still has a French influence. Stroll along the streets of Pondicherry where you would come across lot of restaurants and Bakeries specialized in various Indian dishes and snacks.
Afternoon: visit the French Quarter and the Tamil Quarter, home to many shops and boutiques.

Pondicherry to Tanjore — Morning- Post breakfast drive to the Kingly city of Tanjore. Visit the UNESCO recognized “Brihadeeswarar Temple” or the Big Temple.
Afternoon: After a sumptuous Tamilnadu style lunch, visit the Tanjore Palace and Art Gallery.

Tanjore to Chettinad — Morning- Post breakfast drive to Chettinad popular for their unique culture, ornate mansions and its mouth drooling cuisine. For the next two days, you will be at Chettinad exploring its villages, tile making units, bustling markets and even join in cooking a Chettinad meal as well.
Overnight at Kannadukathan, Chettinad
Chettinad — Morning- Post breakfast you have options for Bullock cart ride in a village. Later, have your fortunes told by engaging yourself in Parrot astrology in which a trained parrot picks up a random card from a deck and the trainer interprets your future.
Afternoon: Meet a handmade tile making artists of Chettinad. They follow their traditional methods of tile making and designs.
Evening: Explore the street restaurants of Chettinad and taste various Chettinad dishes. Try Chettinad Chicken famous for its thick spicy gravy.

Chettinad- Madurai — Morning- Post breakfast, drive to Madurai, the cultural capital of Tamilnadu. Home to the Madurai Meenakshi Temple, it is one of the important pilgrimage sites in India. Madurai is special for Idly-vada and Sambhar. There are numerous shops serving the same and Madurai special Dosa as well. Visit the Meenakshi Temple and the Tirumalay Naicker Palace.
Evening- Go for a Madurai food tour across various restaurants accompanied by an Indian panorama food expert.

Madurai to Periyar — Today morning post breakfast make your way to Kerala, the God’s own country.
Afternoon: reach Periyar, enjoy a spice plantation tour where you are given a detailed explanation on Kerala spices, its uses and its cultivation.

Periyar to Kanjirappally — Morning- enjoy boating at the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and continue your journey down the hills towards the Keralan midlands. Reach Kanjirappally by lunchtime. Kerala cooking includes lots of coconut and spices. Here you will be staying at an estate bungalow on a plantation, which is surrounded by planted areas of rubber, coffee, cocoa and vanilla. With delicious South Indian meals prepared from locally grown ingredients this is another culinary delight in a trip studded with them. Overnight in Kanjirapally.
Kanjirapally to Alleppey — Morning drive to the Alleppey Backwaters and board a houseboat for an afternoon boat cruise. Enjoy a delicious Kerala style lunch with fish fry, steamed rice, and other vegetarian dishes, cooked on board exclusively for you. Enjoy the Alleppey scenes as you float along the shimmering backwaters. Later disembark the houseboat for a night stay at resort of homestay by the side of the backwaters.

Alleppey- Fort Cochin — Morning- post breakfast explore the verdant paddy fields of Alleppey before heading to Fort Cochin, south India’s most important trading port for more than 500 years. Enjoy the afternoon on a guided tour of the historic areas of Fort Cochin and Mattancherry covering the Jewish synagogue, Jew town, the Dutch Palace and St Francis Church- all stand witness to to the vast range of influences brought to bear on Cochin over the centuries.

Fort Cochin — Morning visit the local fish market and later drive to the home of Mrs. Nimmy Paul, a renowned Kerala Chef. Enjoy “Sadhya”, a traditional Hindu style food served on a banana leaf, an extensive meal usually served at weddings and other festivals. Ms. Nimmy will explain the traditions and history behind the Kerlaa dishes.
Afternoon: Nimmy will lead a cooking demonstration while preparing dinner. You can participate and learn the Kerala style of cooking as well.
Overnight in Cochin.
Free day in Cochin and evening transfer to the airport for departure. — Today morning post breakfast make your way to Kerala, the God’s own country. You will pass through lush green agricultural farms and spice markets of Theni.
Morning- Post breakfast as per your departure schedule, you will be transferred to the Cochin International Airport to board your flight back home. You will be met by our Indian Panorama Tour executive at the airport who will ensure your smooth departure.
