Day 1 :
Arrive at Delhi
On Arrival Delhi International Airport. Our tour executive greets you & transfers you to your Hotels in New Delhi, the capital of kingdoms and empires, is now a sprawling metropolis with a fascinating blend of the past and the present. Day 2 :
After breakfast you will do sightseeing of visit Old & New Delhi. New Delhi - An extensive sightseeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit to the Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar, a drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House, the President's Residence and would end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave Old Delhi - A sightseeing tour of Old Delhi would entail visiting the Raj Ghat - the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated; Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India and the Red Fort - once the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire. Day 3 :
Delhi - Agra
After breakfast drive to Agra. Agra: Akbar built the Agra Fort in 1565 AD, there establishing it as his capital. Akbar and Shahjahan changed the entire village of Agra and transformed it as a wonderful city with some of the grand edifices. Today, Agra is famous across the world for the Taj Mahal. The modern city of Agra remains in background amidst the crowd of the marvelous Mughal heritage. Check in at hotel and relax for the day. Day 4 :
Agra - Jaipur
After breakfast sightseeing tour of Agra, Visit Taj Mahal, a "symbol of eternal love", Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daulla's Tomb, popularly known as the Baby Taj. Later drive to Jaipur. Enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri - The deserted, red Sandstone City, Emperor Akbar built that as his capital and palace in the late 16th century is an exhilarating experience. It a veritable fairy tale city and its "ruins" are in pristine condition ... it's not hard to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of it's grandeur. Continue your drive to Jaipur. Jaipur: Sawai Jai Singh II ascended the Amber throne in 1699 AD and initiated the work of constructing the city in 1727 AD, which was completed in 1731 AD. Jaipur has managed to preserve the character and history of the old city. Popularly known as the Pink City, painted in honor of the visit of the Prince of Wales Jaipur is abundant with fascinating forts, pleasing palaces, terrific temples and luxurious gardens during Colourful Rajasthan tours. Day 5 :
Jaipur After breakfast sightseeing of Jaipur First take an excursion to Amber Fort lying in the outskirts of Jaipur. Go up to the fort riding on the Elephant’s back. Man Singh I initiated the construction of the Amber Fort in 1592 AD and completed by his descendent Jai Singh. Proceed for sightseeing of the city of Jaipur. Visit the City Palace and Museum, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. Also visit the Rug Factory and see the ladies at the intricate work or a Gem Factory and see the gem cutting and polishing process. Day 6 :
Jaipur - Pushkar
Later drive to Pushkar PUSHKAR- Amongst the grandeur of Rajasthan, discover a unique gem - Pushkar. Lord Brahma - The creator of the world in a search for his abode on earth, performed the supremely spiritual VEDIC YAGNA at Pushkar. It is thus the site of the only Brahma Temple in the world. Blessed with cultural blends, it is the venue for the famous Pushkar Fair, with people coming from all over Asia to buy and sell cattle of breeds from across the world. Day 7 :
Pushkar - Udaipur
After breakfast morning sightseeing of Pushkar. visit Brahma Temple - This is the most revered shrine in Pushkar, which happens to be the only temple devoted to The Lord Brahma, worshipped as the Creator of the Universe in the known Hindu Trinity. According to legend, Brahma performed a Yagya here.Varah Temple - The Varah Temple is devoted to the Lord Vishnu, the preserver in the Hindu Trinity of Gods. The temple is houses an image of Vishnu in his fifth incarnation of wild boar and was built by the King Anaji Chauhan (1123-1150) and is equal in importance to the more well known, Brahma Temple. As per the legend, the Lord Vishnu came to earth to kill the demon Hirnayaksh who had stolen the Vedas and then took the shape of Varah (wild boar) and killed the demon thereby liberating the world from his atrocities Savitri Temple - This temple is devoted to the Godess Savitri, one of Brahma's wives, and is located on the highest hill above the Pushkar town. One can climb a long series of steps to reach the shrine which offers a panoramic view of the Pushkar Lake and surrounding sand dunes during Colourful Rajasthan trip. Later drive to Udaipur - The city of Dawn, Udaipur is a lovely land around the azure lake, hemmed in by the lush hills of the ARAVALLIS. Day 8 :
After breakfast sightseeing of Udaipur. Here you will marvel at rooms with mirrored walls and ivory doors, colored glass windows and inlaid marble balconies and the Peacock Courtyard. Also visit the lovely Sahelion-ki-Bari (Garden for maidens), The Jagdish Temple and the local folk Museum. Later in the evening – Boat ride at Lake Pichola. Overnight stay at Udaipur
Day 9 :
Udaipur - Jodhpur
After breakfast drive to Jodhpur En-route, visit the RANAKPUR TEMPLES, dating back to the 15th century. 200 pillars, none of which are alike, support its 29 halls. The Temple abounds with intricate friezes and sculptures. Includes visits to two more Jain temples and the Temple of the Sun God with its erotic sculptures during Colourful Rajasthan Tours. Day 10 :
After Breakfast in the morning go for a village safari in the jeep and have a rare glimpse into the rich culture and true essence of India. Abundant wildlife (game) and memorable moments of the great desert landscape fascinates one while driving along the countryside. Overnight at Jodhpur.
Day 11 :
Jodhpur - Jaisalmer
After Breakfast proceed for Jaisalmer. Rising from the heart of the Thar Desert like a golden mirage is the city of Jaisalmer. Day 12 :
After a relaxed breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing tour of The Golden City - Jaisalmer. It is in the heart of the Great Indian Desert. Its temple, fort and palaces are all built of yellow stone. The city is a mass of intricately carved buildings, facades and elaborate balconies. Visit the JAISALMER FORT - The oldest living Fort in the world. (This is the highlight of the tour). Here you can have optional Camel Ride with Dinner at Sam Dunes Overnight at Jaisalmer.
Day 13 :
Jaisalmer – Bikaner
After breakfast drive to Bikaner.
BIKANER -The royal fortified city with a timeless appeal. Lying in the north of the Desert State, the city is dotted with many sand dunes. Bikaner retains the medieval splendor that pervades the city's lifestyle. More popularly called the camel country, the city is renowned for the best riding camels in the world. The ship of the desert is an inseparable part of life here. Be it pulling heavy carts, transporting grains or working on wells, camels are the prime helpers. The wells of Bikaner - an important source of water are other attractions of the city. These are built on high plinths with slender minareted towers on each of the Four Corners and can be noticed even from a distance. Relax in the evening. Overnight stay at Bikaner.
Day 14 :
Bikaner – Mandawa
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Bikaner. Rao Bikaji, a descendant of Jodhaji - the founder of Jodhpur, founded this desert town in the North of the state in 1488. Visit the Junagarh Fort, constructed between 1588 and 1593 by Raja Jai Singh, a general in the Moghul Emperor Akbar's army. The city is also called the "Camel Country". Visit the camel-breeding farm - the only one in Asia. Visit the KARNI MATA TEMPLE. Later drive to Mandawa. The medieval Fort of Mandawa gradually rises on the horizon like a mirage. A breathtaking view of the town can be seen from the terrace of Castle Mandawa. Precious collection of arms with jade handles, traditional ceremonial costumes can be seen at the Museum at the Castle. The havelies worth a visit are Chokhani, Saraf, Goenka and Ladia in this town during Colourful Rajasthan Tours. Day 15 :
Mandawa – Delhi
After breakfast, Take a walking tour of the painted 'havelis' of some of the leading business families of the country. Though they no longer live here, the local caretakers are happy to show the visitors around. Chowkhani Haveli, Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli, Lakshminarayan Ladia Haveli, Mohahanlal Saraf Haveli and Bhagchandika Haveli are of special interest. Spend the major part of the day looking into frescoes. Also visit Mahensar and Dundlod meeting the local village chief. Later drive to Delhi. Check in and free for your personal activities. Overnight stay at Delhi.
Day 16 :
Dep Depending upon your international flight schedule you will be transfer to Delhi International airport for your onward journey.
