City Palace Jaipur

One of the prominent reasons in making Jaipur a city of forts and palaces is Maharaja Sawai Jai singh. Along with him architects Vidyadhar Bhattacharya and Shilpa Shastra made the walls of the city of Jaipur. Jaipur takes the pride of being the first planed city of medieval India. The whole city is parted into nine blocks and this royal palace is in the mid-point of the city.


This amazing palace was erected by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. This palace was constructed in fusion style of Mughal and Rajput architecture. The whole palace sprawls across an area of many acres, which is one seventh of the old Jaipur city.

The palace complex comprises of well-groomed gardens, extravagant buildings, marvellous mahal, colossal museums and intricate temples. This palace served as the residence for the Maharajas of Jaipur.

The city palace is located in the middle of the old city wall of Jaipur. There are surplus transports to reach the palace. The palace is open for the visitors from 9.30 am. It may take about two hours to explore the whole place.

Best time to visit Jaipur palace is October to December, as during this seasons the city is much cooler and gives a perfect ambiance to explore the mind-blowing beauty of Jaipur city palace.
