Lemuria <\/strong>was the name given coined <\/strong>by the English geologist Philip Sclater <\/strong>(1864) in the article “The Mammals of Madagascar”. The same land is mentioned as “Kumari<\/strong> Kandam<\/strong>” (The Virgin Continent) in the Eastern world. According to geologists<\/a>, McKenzie and Sclater, Africa <\/strong>and South America <\/strong>were connected <\/strong>about 2 million years ago. While India<\/strong>, Africa, Arabia, South America, Antarctica, and Australia developed into separate landmasses<\/strong>. This had happened to the natural phenomenon of the earth – Tectonic Plate Movements <\/strong>(“Navalam Theevu<\/a>” in the Tamil language). From the untouched land of Kumari south of present-day Tamilagam<\/a>, about 15,000 years ago<\/strong>, some people moved to Arabia <\/strong>and became Jews<\/strong>. While our inevitable neighbors moved to Africa <\/strong>and became Sumerians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The rule of 72 kings <\/strong>of the Pandyan Empire<\/strong> of the territories of Lemuria (including the Kumari Kandam) from 30,000 B.C to 16,000 B.C. Although it is debatable, there are concrete proofs<\/a> in Tamil literature about the dominance of the Pandyan Kingdom close to 10,000 years<\/strong> over the Lemuria Kingdom. <\/p>\n

    To spread and promote their love for literature<\/strong>, poetry<\/strong>, and knowledge<\/strong>, Pandyan Kings<\/a> set three Tamil Sangams <\/strong>within their emphatic rule of 11,000 years. The base for preserving <\/strong>the Tamil <\/strong>language. Tamil Nadu <\/a>and its language’s existence could have been denied like the Sanskrit Language if Pandyan Kings haven’t taken this historic effort.<\/p>\n

    Towards the end <\/strong>of the Mesozoic Era or the Age of the Dinosaurs,<\/strong> Lemuria broke into several heaps of lands. This makes it clear that Kumari Kandam existed and confirms the presence of the powerful Pandyan Kingdom. History’s first democratic kingdom <\/strong>from where knowledge spread across the world.<\/p>\n

The Greeks <\/strong>had traveled via Egypt <\/strong>to reach the ancient Tamil <\/a>Kingdom in Madurai <\/strong>for trade purposes, especially pearls <\/strong>from “Korkai<\/strong>” (now it is Thoothukudi) and ruby from surrounding provinces. <\/p>\n
