Self-styled as ‘India’s most romantic city’, Udaipur is undoubtedly the most picturesque in Rajasthan. Situated around the shores of manmade Lake Pichola, and dominated by the 5-storey City Palace, the Old City area of Udaipur is a treasure trove of artists’ workshops, quaint old buildings and a host of surprises. The city is famous for the artistic brilliance of her silversmiths and painters.
